Located at the gateway of the Riviera Maya, less than 20 minutes from the Cancun International Airport, NIZUC Resort & Spa is positioned on one of the most beautiful and alluring beaches facing the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. The resort offers 274 luxurious suites and private villas dispersed throughout its 29-acre property. Guests can enjoy the resort's 109 pools, 6 world class restaurants, private jetty, 30,000-square-foot spa, and 8,500 square feet of event and meeting space. Not sold yet? Let's take a look at the different venue options for your wedding.

Venue #1: Nizuc Beach

The quintessential "Destination Wedding" spot. Here you will delight your guests with panoramic views of the ocean. I love this venue for a sunset event, creating the perfect romantic backdrop. You also wouldn't have to worry about beach-going bystanders walking through the frame while your photographer is trying to catch a shot of your first kiss as this beach is reservable for private events.

Venue #2: A-Kan Terrace

This oceanfront terrace is perfect for couples who want an ocean view and a great sunset backdrop, but don't want to have their feet in the sand. If you have guests attending your wedding who have limited accessibility and would have trouble getting to your event on the beach, this is a really great option. Also good if you have a beautiful pair of wedding shoes to debut.

Venue #3: Terra Nostra Lower Deck

Situated between stunning verdant mangrove, a flowing river, and overlooking the infinity pool, this venue is great for a sit down dinner reception. If you want a more elegant feel, this one might be for you! I could also see this venue as a perfect place for a welcome reception for your guests.

Venue #4: La Punta Grill Terrace And Lower Deck

Here you'll find a more casual atmosphere, still great for a dinner reception, welcome reception, or an after party.I would call this venue the more laid-back version of the Terra Nostra Lower Deck, but don't confuse laid-back with being any less dreamy! This venue has panoramic ocean views overlooking the caribbean sea.

Venue #5: NIZUC Garden

This spacious lawn is well-suited for a couple who would like to make the venue their own. Plenty of room to set up the garden as you'd like. This is also a great option for a weather-friendly outside event, since you can easily set up a tent if needed. I discuss why this is important in my guide - "7 Common Mistakes To Avoid When Planning a Destination Wedding"

Venue #6: Sian Ka'an

The only indoor venue with obvious benefits such as climate control. Yet, this ballroom still has a panoramic ocean view - best of both worlds! The space has a 21-foot ceiling, and 5,760 sq ft of space. This venue is elegant, comfortable, and still brings in the caribbean vibe with its expansive views.

Venue #7: Reef Beach

Another beach option with a more casual vibe. Enjoy the white-sand beach and the view of the caribbean while partying with your loved ones. You can even have a bonfire on the beach for when the sun goes down. I like this venue for larger parties, with plenty of room for guests to spread out and enjoy the scenery.

My goal is to create resources for you to declutter your mind and distill down the possibilities so you can hone in on what it is that's going to make your wedding feel just right to YOU.
